Circuit Training

Circuit Training is named after a set of six different forms of exercises that are performed over the intervals of a short span of time. Sets are referred to as Circuits here. One circuit is completed when a complete set of all six exercises is performed. Multiple sets or circuits can be performed during one session.

Circuit Training serves you with numerous benefits, some of them being:

  • Increasing your core strength.
  • Maintaining a healthy weight.
  • Inflicting limb strength
  • Produce and prosper balance in your torso
  • Proclaim muscle endurance

Circuit Training gets your heart rate racing and strengthens your muscles at the same time. You will move forth quickly and consistently through eight to ten exercise stations to work different muscle groups in different parts of your body with little or no rest between the sessions.

Here is an example of a simple circuit training workout that might consist of push-ups, sit-ups, squats, chin-ups and lunges. The workout routine may be structured as follows, and could be continually repeated as many times as is necessary.

  • Engage in as many push-ups as you can in 30 seconds, then rest for 30 seconds.
  • Engage in as many squats as you can in 30 seconds, then rest for 30 seconds.
  • Engage in as many sit-ups as you can in 30 seconds, then rest for 30 seconds.
  • Engage in as many lunges as you can in 30 seconds, then rest for 30 seconds.
  • Engage in as many chin-ups as you can in 30 seconds, then rest for 30 seconds.
